Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett is visiting the United Arab Emirates for the first time as Prime Minister. Bennett’s visit comes against the backdrop of a nuclear war between world powers and Iran.
He is scheduled to meet with UAE Prince Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Monday. The Israeli prime minister’s office said in a statement. Khabar Al-Jazeera.
The two leaders will discuss relations between Israel and the UAE, especially economic and regional issues, the statement said.
The UAE has not confirmed the visit. Israel has long sought to normalize relations with the Middle East.
Last year, under US mediation, the two countries normalized their relations and sent ambassadors to each other’s countries.
