Christmas gatherings are banned in Delhi to prevent Omicron

The Delhi government has banned all types of gatherings at Christmas and New Year in protest of Omicron. No cultural or entertainment program can be organized anywhere in the capital. Owners of all major markets have been told not to allow any buyer to enter without a mask. Besides, the Delhi government has also started a new campaign to prevent emissions.

A new type of corona, Omicron, was first identified in South Africa last month. Since then, 213 people have been infected in India. Of these, 75 were affected in Maharashtra and 56 in Delhi.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called an emergency meeting on Thursday to stop the amicus. Earlier on Tuesday night, Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan wrote a letter to the states. That said, Omicron is raising concerns. States need to take the necessary steps to prevent infection and prevent it from spreading quickly.

In that letter from Health Secretary Rakesh Bhushan, he reminded everyone that Omicron is three times more contagious than Delta. For that, special measures have to be taken in the area to prevent emissions. In today’s meeting, the Prime Minister will give necessary instructions in this regard, so that the Omicron can be tackled in wartime activities.
