Corona infections are on the rise in New York

New coronavirus infections are on the rise in New York. The infection is increasing rapidly due to the corona delta and the highly contagious omicron type. New York State’s own statistics show that 21,026 people were diagnosed with the infection last Friday, but the number rose to 21,908 the next day, Saturday.

The New York Times reports that in the weeks leading up to the outbreak of the infection, many have canceled plans to spend the Christmas holidays, with some testing corona. At present, the identification rate has also increased a lot, state officials said.

In New York, the corona detection rate was 2.8 percent on September 22, and has now risen to 8.53 percent. Last Friday, 3,909 people were infected and admitted to the hospital. This number is 70 more than the previous day.

New York Governor Kathy Haqul said last Saturday that 40 temporary vaccination centers would be set up across the state as part of bringing everyone under vaccination. Epidemiologists believe that strengthening immunizations is important to protect people from serious illness and death.

In a statement, the governor said, “We are ready for the new wave of Corona in winter, because we have the necessary equipment. Wearing a mask and taking a booster dose of Ticker can save you from serious illness. ‘

The highest corona infection rate in New York is in Tompkins County. According to the New York Times, the number of infections in the county has risen by more than 640 percent since 14 days ago. Currently, 224 out of 1 lakh people in this county have been infected.

The county is home to a large number of students. Local Ithaca College authorities said on Wednesday that the number of infections had increased significantly in the last 24 hours. In such a situation, they are strongly discouraging students from gathering unplanned on campus.

Cornell University canceled a graduates’ program on Tuesday to avoid health risks. After collecting samples from several students, tests at the university’s Corona Laboratory found evidence of amino acids in the bodies of many of them.

Last week, Governor Kathy Hakul made wearing masks mandatory across the state to curb the spread of the infection. He said that masks should also be worn in domestic gatherings, but if you go to these events, you will not need any proof of getting full dose of corona.

US President Joe Biden will address the nation next Tuesday on what to do in the wake of the eruption. The spread of the new type of corona in different parts of the country has raised new concerns in the country’s health sector. Apart from this, many are also worried about the economy due to the increase in the transmission of ammonia.

White House Press Secretary Jane Sackie confirmed this in a tweet last Saturday. He says the Biden administration will announce new steps on what needs to be done to help the people.
