
Passenger dies in mid-air, flight returns to Delhi three hours later
One passenger died after an Air India flight bound for the United States. The plane returned to Delhi airport three hours after takeoff, Indian media outlet NDTV reported on Saturday. An Air India official told news agency ANI that the Air India flight from Delhi to the United States had returned to Delhi after flying for more than three hours due to an emergency medical situation.
After the plane landed in Delhi, a team of doctors at the airport examined the passenger and declared him dead. The deceased was a U.S. citizen. He left for the United States with his wife.
The new cabin crew is scheduled to fly to the United States later, Delhi airport officials said.
