Australia will allow to enter foreigners with vaccinated visa

Australia will allow full-dose vaccinated foreigners to enter the country from 1 December. The Prime Minister of Australia Scott Morrison made the remarks on Monday. News Reuters.

Australia closed its international border in May 2020 due to the Corona epidemic. They were allowing a limited number of citizens and permanent residents to enter Australia.

In recent times, the country has eased corona-related restrictions. Australia allows foreign family members of its citizens to enter the country.

Now Prime Minister Morrison says rules will be further relaxed to allow full-dose vaccinated foreign students, businessmen and refugees to enter Australia.

“The return of skilled workers and students to Australia is a major milestone in our return to normalcy,” Morrison told reporters in Canberra.

Morrison said Australia would also allow vaccinated tourists from South Korea and Japan to enter the country from December 1.

The contribution of foreign students to the Australian economy is about 35 billion a year. Their return will re-enrich the country’s education sector.

Many Australian universities rely on foreign students. But due to the closure of the border due to Corona, many higher education institutions are in crisis. So they are forced to lay off hundreds of their workers.

The ‘Travel Bubble’ has been implemented between Australia and Singapore. Following this, a group of international students arrived in Australia from Singapore on Sunday.

Australia has been able to control corona transmission more than many other countries in the world by enforcing border restrictions, rapid lockdowns and strict social distance rules. Two lakh people have been infected with corona in the country so far. 1,946 people died.

The Australian economy has been hit hard by the Corona sanctions. Now the country is taking various steps to revive their economy.
